These Platform Terms of Service govern access to and use of the Oxford Academy of English LTD digital platform located at ai.oaoe.co.uk (the “Platform”).
By creating an account or accessing the Platform, you agree to these Terms.
Users must provide accurate, complete
information during registration.
Accounts created by institutions for
students or staff remain under institutional control.
Users must maintain the confidentiality
of login credentials.
The Platform provides AI‑assisted writing tools, curriculum‑aligned digital learning content, teacher dashboards, and related services.
We may update or modify Platform features to improve performance or security.
Users must not upload unlawful, harmful,
discriminatory, or infringing content.
Users must not attempt to reverse
engineer, bypass security, or misuse AI systems.
Institutional administrators must ensure
student use complies with safeguarding duties.
The Platform may be accessed by children and young people under the supervision of an educational institution, parent, or guardian. We are committed to providing a safe digital environment for all users, particularly those under the age of 18.
Schools, colleges, universities, parents, and guardians remain responsible for ensuring appropriate supervision of minors using the Platform, including monitoring activity, reviewing outputs from AI tools, and ensuring compliance with safeguarding policies applicable to their organisation or jurisdiction.
Users must not upload or generate harmful, abusive, discriminatory, sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise inappropriate content. We reserve the right to suspend or remove accounts that violate these rules.
AI-generated content may occasionally produce inappropriate, inaccurate, or harmful outputs. We take reasonable steps to minimise risks through filtering, monitoring, and safety controls, but no AI system is infallible. Educators and supervisors must review student activity and guide safe use of AI tools.
Any safeguarding concerns identified on the Platform should be reported immediately to the relevant educational institution and, where appropriate, to us at safeguarding@oaoe.co.uk (replace with your final address).
We may suspend or restrict access where there is a safeguarding risk, or where continued use may place a child or vulnerable user at harm.
AI‑generated outputs may be incorrect,
incomplete, or misleading.
Users must review AI suggestions and
remain responsible for any work submitted.
We do not guarantee the accuracy,
reliability, or suitability of AI outputs.
Fees, billing cycles, and subscription
tiers are displayed during checkout.
Consumer users have statutory cooling‑off
rights under the law.
Institutional subscribers are subject to invoicing terms agreed in separate
contracts.
Users may cancel subscriptions in accordance with the cancellation rules shown at the time of purchase.
We may suspend or terminate accounts for
breach of these Terms.
Institutional accounts follow termination rules set out in the Institutional
Agreement.
All Platform content, software, AI models,
text, graphics, and digital materials are owned or licensed by Oxford Academy
of English LTD.
Users receive a limited, non-exclusive,
non-transferable licence to use the Platform for educational purposes only.
We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the UK GDPR.
Institutional clients entering Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) will have additional safeguards.
Users must not upload personal data of others without consent or a legal basis.
We aim to provide high platform uptime, but
do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
Maintenance windows or technical issues may affect availability.
We are not liable for indirect or
consequential losses caused by Platform use.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability
for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or death/personal injury caused by
negligence.
We may modify the Platform or update these
Terms.
Continued use after updates constitutes
acceptance of revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of
England and Wales.
Any disputes shall be submitted to the
exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
